I drew some retro mushrooms and am loving these colours. I also drew a couple of cute sticker designs – a sad panda and a happy bara! Everything is available as digital downloads in my Etsy Store!

I designed a series of Australian birds, and these Top End birds were my first choice. They are a little different to my usual style, but I’m really digging the way they turned out. I enjoyed playing around with textures and background noise to add depth to the drawings and make them more interesting. I also used more sharp angles instead of my usual curves and I love the results!
I think my favourite is the Black-necked Stork (more commonly known as the Jabiru), but the Bush Stone-curlew gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling, with its funny long legs. Click on the images to enlarge them. If you want to download any of these as a print, please head over to my Etsy store.

“I paint flowers so they will not die” – Frida Kahlo
Some facts about Frida:

This piece is from a series I’m working on, inspired by the Indigenous kids where I live. I travel out to Aboriginal communities for my job and the kids living out on community always seem to have the most fun! I truly envy their lifestyle and would have loved it when I was a kid.
The Top End is such a beautiful place, and waterholes are my most favourite place of all. I am so lucky to be living among such beautiful flora and fauna and feel inspired constantly.
