This year for Halloween I decided to combine two of my favourite things, PokemonGO and Studio Ghibli. I originally started playing PokemonGO back in 2016 and lost interest, but now I’m back playing with a vengeance and possibly need an intervention (according to sources close to me).

The Chameleon and the Frog
Continuing with the limited palette theme, I present my latest two vectors. I think I like the frog one the best, I’m vibing with those colours!
I decided to try doing my latest vector with pastels. I’m not great at choosing colours that are complementary, so I found this site called Coolors and it is a life saver! This is very different to my usual style, but I really love it – I think it looks quite elegant.
Elvira, Mistress of the Dark
It’s getting close to spooky season and I’m starting early this year. The delectable Elvira is always a pleasure to draw and I hope you like it! I recently subscribed to the new Adobe Illustrator and am having a blast. Previously, I was using my outdated version that was more than 10 years old! I’d prefer to own the software, rather than have a monthly subscription, but I suppose there are benefits to a subscription, like frequent updates etc. Anyway, leave a comment and let me know what you think!
Audrey VS Audrey II
It took a lot longer than I anticipated to finish my third Halloween vector piece! I had a mental block for so long and just couldn’t finish this one until now. It is, of course, inspired from the musical Little Shop of Horrors. I’m also working on an Audrey 2 sculpture and will post that up when it’s completed. I hope you all have a safe and happy 2022!
Happy Halloween 2021!
I ran out of time to do my third Halloween-inspired vector illustration, but that’s only because I’ve been so busy trying new mediums. I recently discovered Posca markers and I am in love with them! Below are a few of the paintings I’ve done with my new Posca pens – they are so versatile and suit my style so much better than a paint brush. I’ll hopefully finish my third vector in the next week, so stay tuned!
Boil and Bubble
This is the second Halloween-themed vector art I’ve created in the lead up to Halloween – the first is over here. I don’t have much time left to churn out one more, but I’ll try my best!
Another challenge using a limited palette. My partner suggested doing a landscape – something I don’t do a lot of. I think it turned out pretty good!
Is it Halloween yet?
Usually I only do one Halloween drawing every year, but this year I feel compelled to do more. This is the first of three illustrations I’ll be putting up to celebrate my favourite day of the year.
If you’re looking for something to watch this Halloween, I highly recommend the “Fear Street” trilogy – make sure to watch them in order or it won’t make sense!
I’ve been hanging out over at Instagram a lot lately and have been inspired so much by the incredible artwork I’ve seen. Today I tried a new thing – a challenge was offered up by artist Vaulchen to use only a six colour palette. I have to admit, I really enjoyed the challenge of working with only a few colours – I hope you like it!
